Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yazıcı, FESC

Lead Interventional Cardiologist & CTO Specialist

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yazıcı is a renowned Interventional Cardiologist with over 30 years of clinical excellence, specialized in complex percutaneous coronary interventions, Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO), carotid artery stenting, and peripheral endovascular procedures.

Graduating from Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Yazıcı completed his cardiology residency in 2001 and served as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology until 2006. A pioneer in regional healthcare infrastructure, he personally founded and directed the Interventional Cardiology Departments at Atasam Hospital (2006), Mediva Hospital (2007), and Medicana International Hospital in Samsun (2011–2021). Since 2021, he operates his private interventional clinic and leads complex cardiovascular procedures at Samsun VM Medical Park Hospital.

International Fellowships & Specialized Expertise: Dr. Yazıcı holds the prestigious title of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and is an official member of the elite EuroCTO Club within the European Society of Cardiology—a recognition reserved for global experts in opening chronically 100% blocked coronary arteries without surgery.

Over the past 5 years, in strategic collaboration with Turkish Heart Center, he leads complex coronary and peripheral endovascular treatments for international patients at Samsun VM Medical Park Hospital in Turkey.

Ufuk Timuçin Aygün

Founder & Managing Director

With three decades of executive leadership, entrepreneurship, and operational excellence in the healthcare industry, Ufuk Timuçin Aygün is the visionary behind Turkish Heart Center. His career in health management began in 1995 with the global pharmaceutical giant Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), laying the groundwork for a 30-year journey dedicated to medical advancement, clinical infrastructure, and international patient care.

Throughout his career, he has founded, built, and managed state-of-the-art cardiovascular and intensive care infrastructures across the Middle East and Europe. In 2009, he established and operated the Turkish Private Hospital in Erbil, designing advanced facilities including a 12-bed Cardiac ICU, a 7-bed Cardiovascular Surgery ICU, and specialized pediatric congenital heart disease units. He subsequently activated the Cardiovascular Surgery and Intensive Care units at Taj Private Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, and managed the Cardiovascular and Cardiology departments at Spitali Salus in Tirana, Albania.

For over five years, Ufuk Timuçin Aygün has partnered closely with Lead Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Mustafa Yazıcı.
